Pizza Dough (as requested by N)
Yield: 1 - 2 large pizzas.
Ingredients:
- Water, warm 2 oz.
- Active dry yeast 1 tbsp.
- Bread flour 14 oz.
- Water, cool 6 oz.
- Salt 1 tsp.
- Olive oil 1 oz.
- Honey 1 tbsp.
- Stir the yeast in the warm water to dissolve. Add the flour.
- Stir in the cool water, salt, olive oil, and honey into the flour mixture. Knead with a dough hook or by hand until smooth and elastic, approximately 5 minutes.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl and cover. Allow the dough to rise in a warm spot for 30 minutes. Punch down the dough and divide into portions. The dough may be wrapped and refrigerated for up to two days.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into and top as desired. Bake at 400F (200C) until crisp and golden brown, approximately 8 to 12 minutes.
